Accessible for culture
We believe that culture plays a vital role in fostering social cohesion, and that everyone should have access to it and be able to participate in it. Having accessible spaces, activities and information ensures that everyone can take part in cultural life: when everyone has equal opportunities, culture becomes more valuable. That is why, since 2018, we have been promoting cultural accessibility within public and private cultural bodies and institutions, as well as in any other setting in which collaborative projects can be developed to raise awareness of this issue. How do we do it? By offering support, awareness-raising and training programmes, as well as targeted projects and customised services.

From the moment we first met, I had a feeling that, once the course was over, I would redirect my daily efforts towards other goals. I must admit that I wasn’t entirely wrong. Although my professional goals have evolved, I have also come to recognise the importance of being aware of one’s thoughts and taking shared action.
Taking part in the FOSCA course has broadened my knowledge and allowed me to engage in constructive dialogue with teachers and colleagues. I have learnt how to communicate effectively, how to use tools and strategies to ensure cultural accessibility, and how to adopt a participatory approach to project design. I highly recommend this learning experience!
Thanks to the wide variety of lessons and the teachers’ professionalism, I had the opportunity to delve deeper into topics I was already familiar with, gaining new insights and learning valuable new concepts. However, the real added value was the atmosphere of mutual respect and open discussion that developed among the group of colleagues, teachers and facilitators.
